Dr. Amie Carter is a mother of 5 daughters and a former high school English teacher. She is a proven education leader and community advocate committed to ensuring all students in Sonoma County have access to a high-quality, inclusive public education. As the current Sonoma County Superintendent of Schools, she brings decades of experience, deep local roots, and a record of honest, results-driven leadership. Known for her energy, credibility, and collaborative approach, Dr. Carter focuses on building strong systems that expand opportunity, protect student safety, and help schools thrive—today and for the future.
