Biography

Kristen Angelo was born and raised in Hubbard, OH and has proudly called Northwest Ohio home since 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Allegheny College, an Associate Degree in Business Management from Eastern Gateway Community College, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law.

Kristen currently works for the City of Toledo as a payroll clerk in the Parks and Youth Services division, where she also serves as a union steward for AFSCME Local 7. A dedicated advocate for workers’ rights and community empowerment, she has been deeply involved in local activism through Toledo Persists, a grassroots organization originally founded as Toledo for Warren. Through this work, Kristen has organized and participated in protests, canvassing efforts, mutual aid projects, and grassroots campaigns in support of reproductive rights, fair districts, and opposition to legislation such as Senate Bill 1.

Kristen is guided by a belief in dignity, equality, and opportunity for all. She is committed to building stronger, more inclusive communities through civic engagement and public service.

She lives in Walbridge with her wife, Angela, and their son, Julian, an honor roll student at Toledo School for the Arts.
