Biography
Anthony Nicodemo is a proud 20-year resident of Yonkers, deeply committed to public service, education, and community advocacy. A lifelong educator, Anthony has dedicated his career to teaching special education and social studies, ensuring that all students—regardless of background or ability—have the opportunity to succeed. A proven political and civic leader, Anthony is the President of the Hudson Valley Stonewall Democrats, Vice Chair and District Leader of the Yonkers Democratic Committee, and Vice Chair of the Westchester County Democratic Committee. He is a proud member of the LGBTQ community and a founding board member of the Sports Equality Foundation. Anthony also serves as Chair of Mayor Mike Spano’s LGBTQ Advisory Board, working to advance equity and inclusion across Yonkers. His advocacy has earned him the Ally Award from The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center and the GLSEN Community Service Award. Anthony is also a strong voice for working families and organized labor. He serves as President of Greenburgh–North Castle United and as Executive Director for ED 16 on the NYSUT Board of Directors, where he fights for educators, students, and public services throughout New York State.
