Biography
Daniel Atonna is a union member and community organizer running for Common Council to put Poughkeepsie over profit. He grew up in City of Poughkeepsie Ward 8 in a working class immigrant family. He helped lead successful local legislative campaigns to keep residents in their homes, stop Airbnbs from taking over our community, and secure a commitment from the city to replace lead water pipes. He has spoken out against Central Hudson raising our utility bills and rallied with our community to save our
Social Security office and protect our Post Office. Ward 8 needs a fighter on Council who will always show up for us. That’s Daniel Atonna. He’ll fight to protect tenants and homeowners, replace lead pipes, repave roads, slow speeding cars, plant more trees, and invest in public parks.
