Joseph Ayala is a dedicated public servant, educator, and community leader committed to strengthening families, supporting local businesses, and ensuring a vibrant future for every resident of Simi Valley. Currently serving as a Council Member, Joseph brings a passion for inclusive leadership, thoughtful policymaking, and collaborative community engagement to City Hall. With a career grounded in education and communication, Joseph has taught at CSUN for 12 years, where he mentors students in group communication, conflict resolution, and civic engagement, preparing the next generation of leaders with practical skills and ethical grounding. Joseph’s commitment to serving Simi Valley extends beyond the classroom and council chamber. He is known for his hands-on approach to community issues, from supporting small business growth and workforce development to volunteering at many non-profit events throughout the city.
