AJ Bailey, an openly LGBTQ+ candidate, is running for Katy City Council At-Large. His focus is on practical solutions for infrastructure, flood mitigation, and public safety. With a background in civic engagement and experience as a public service intern in state and federal government, AJ believes strong local leadership starts with transparency and ethical governance. Growing up, AJ understood the importance of navigating identity and belonging. He’s committed to making Katy a city where every family, regardless of background, feels respected and protected. His campaign aims to strengthen emergency preparedness, support first responders, and create a more transparent and responsive city government. AJ is running to serve all of Katy, with a commitment to representation, accountability, and long-term community stability.
