Biography
Ben Bowman is a State Representative and House Majority Leader in the Oregon State Legislature. First elected in 2022, Bowman was selected by his colleagues as Majority Leader in his first term. Ben is a seventh-generation Oregonian. Growing up, his mom was a high school English teacher, and his dad worked for the United States Postal Service. Ben believes that good policy focuses on upstream solutions that address the root causes of our challenges. He is a leading voice in Oregon on building state capacity and improving oversight and accountability practices, leading a bipartisan workgroup. Ben has received national recognition for his work in the state legislature.
