Biography

Bentley is an Asian-American organizer, political strategist, and community builder who has devoted their life to building power for the New American Majority across the state of Georgia with over a decade of experience. They are a union member and candidate for Georgia’s 90th State House district. They led organizing efforts to protect public employees if Macon-Bibb County from employment discrimination, cash bail reform at the ACLU of Georgia, fiscal policy and budget justice at GBPI, and built the organizing team at the New Georgia Project in the critical 2020 electoral cycle that flipped Georgia blue – twice! When elected, they will be the first Japanese-American and the first nonbinary person to hold state office in Georgia. While representation is important, they aren’t running to be a first. They are running because they understand the urgent need for real, material change. Your vote still matters. Bentley is running to make sure that it counts.
