C.J. will be a critical LGBTQ+ voice on the Flagstaff City Council!
Biography
Lucke’s activism began as a political science student at ASU, when she realized that very few women were running for public office. After earning a master’s in Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, she spent the next 25 years in local and regional government leadership positions out West.
An Arizona native, she is currently a member of the Flagstaff Planning & Zoning Commission, where she is an advocate of smart growth and has been working with state officials to address the short-term rental problem impacting all Arizona communities.
As a City Council candidate, affordable housing is Lucke’s number one focus. The most valuable commodity in Flagstaff is developable land, and she is committed to increasing the housing stock so that the average working person can afford to live in Flagstaff. She is also passionate about infastructure and jobs.
Previously, Lucke was on the board of the Townsite Community Land Trust and remains committed to the preservation of our city’s precious historic buildings.
She has a grown son who lives in San Diego and her wife of 15 years is a dispatcher with the NAU Police Department.
