Biography
Born in East Harlem and raised in the Bronx, Clarisa Alayeto has deep roots on both sides of District 8. A proud Afro-Latina, she has dedicated her life to fighting for equity and opportunity in her community. Growing up in public housing and attending public schools, Clarisa understands firsthand the challenges facing District 8 residents. She has led efforts to combat gun violence, improve public health, and expand access to quality education. With decades of experience in grassroots organizing and community leadership, Clarisa is committed to delivering bold, compassionate leadership that puts the people of District 8 first.
