Biography

Coren’s professional experience includes significant roles within the Annapolis Mayor’s Office, where she led community outreach efforts for the N.O. H.A.R.M. Violence Intervention and Prevention Program. In these capacities, she honed her skills in: Community Engagement: Developing outreach strategies, organizing community events, and facilitating communication to connect residents with essential resources. Strategic Planning: Contributing to the planning and execution of city projects and initiatives. Community Development: Building partnerships with local entities, advocating for community needs, and preparing reports on progress and challenges. Coren’s dedication to service extends beyond her work in the Mayor’s Office. Her involvement in organizations such as Watershed Steward Academy and Leadership Anne Arundel, along with her support for programs like the Annapolis High School’s “Pathways 2 Peace,” demonstrates her commitment to community empowerment, youth development and addressing critical social issues. She has served as a mentor to over 100 youth from Annapolis, not only as a community leader but also as a soccer and cheer coach. She had demonstrated experience creating and planning initiatives to expose underserved high school students to college and career pathways that have reshaped their future.
