Emma Pinter

Adams County Commission, District 3, at-large

Emma will continue to be an important voice for equality on the Adams County Commission!

Biography

Emma is a dedicated public servant who has built her career around strengthening communities and expanding opportunity for working families in Colorado. She believes thriving communities depend on strong public institutions, engaged neighbors, and leaders who listen more than they speak. Emma understands the challenges facing working-class Coloradans firsthand. She is the daughter of an immigrant and the granddaughter of union steelworkers. When her mother passed away while Emma was still in college, she stepped in to help care for her younger sister while completing college and law school. That experience—made possible by the support of friends, neighbors, and her family’s hard-earned pensions—shaped her belief that no one should have to rely on luck to make it in America. While in college, Emma spent summers working as a mountaineering guide in Colorado and knew it was the place for her. After law school in Boston, she returned to build her life, raise a family, and serve her community. Emma served two terms on the Westminster City Council and two terms on the Adams County Commission in 2018, 2022 becoming the first openly queer person ever elected to that body. Her leadership has been recognized with numerous local and statewide awards.
