Sabrina Herrick

Poudre School District Board of Directors, District C

Biography

Sabrina Herrick is a mother of 1, human rights activist, and Colorado State University alum who is running as a reform candidate for Poudre School District Board of Directors for District C.

In May 2023, a PSD staff member was arrested for abusing 11 autistic children, including her daughter. This got her paying attention to what was going on at PSD, and what she found concerned her greatly.

Those things we all take for granted a school district would do were being ignored. Staff on student abuse labeled by leadership as “an issue of personal responsibility.” Staff members and parents alike facing retaliation for reporting safety concerns. Major decisions made behind closed doors. And many more.

After 2 years of advocacy went ignored, Sabrina made the decision: if the board wouldn’t make room for her at the table, she’d ask the voters to make them.

As a passionate human rights activist and a career science nerd, Sabrina offers a unique blend of experience in blue collar work, management, policy review, welfare and regulation enforcement, as well as a thick skin and an inability to shut up until the problem at hand is resolved.
