Hunter will be a critical LGBTQ voice in the Minnesota House of Representatives
Hunter Cantrell is a dedicated queer activist who began his political journey by fighting for marriage equality in Minnesota. Hunter has always felt that he wanted to live his life dedicated to serving others. He currently works in local public schools, and as a home health aide for a child who has a developmental disability. In May of 2017, Hunter was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which called him to fight to make sure everyone in his community would be able to afford the same medications that saved his life. After a nine day hospitalization in October, Hunter announced that he would be running to represent Minnesota House District 56A. Hunter believes in the power of communities working together, and his grass roots campaign is working to build prosperity for all Minnesotans.
