Biography
Ismael Luna is a South Side community advocate and nonprofit professional running for Wisconsin State Assembly in District 8. Ismael’s story is rooted in this community. He was unhoused at 14, and today works at a shelter supporting people experiencing homelessness. Ismael has led community efforts on substance misuse prevention, housing, and public health. Raised by a working-class immigrant family, Ismael is running to fully fund public schools, repair our streets, make health care affordable, and invest in housing to help build a stronger South Side.
