Biography
Jim F. Kovach is the first openly gay of the Harris Co. Civil Courts at Law. He graduated law school in 1991 from the University of Houston after receiving a BBA from The University of Texas. He was called to run for judge because he did not like the treatment he saw of self-represented litigants in the courtroom and believes that every person deserves to be treated fairly and respectfully. He is proud to receive the highest ratings from the bar. He enjoys spending time on Lake Livingston with his husband and rescue dog, Roxie.
