John Casselberry

John Casselberry is the current Board President of the Stanislaus Union School District and represents Trustee Area 5. John has dedicated his life to public safety as a police/fire 911 dispatch supervisor, serving as the very first of first responders. He holds a Masters of Public Administration from Columbia Southern University. After growing up in Simi Valley, California he relocated to Modesto and has found his home in the heart of California’s Central Valley. A fierce advocate for public education, John has focused on ensuring that public schools provide opportunities for students to achieve their fullest potential. Among John’s accomplishments include the passage of a $45 million school bond to update and modernize district facilities, expansion of free before and after-school care for working familles, and an expansion of instructional materials to strengthen early literacy skills across the district.
