Jordan Brown

Texas House of Representatives, District 120

Jordan would be the first openly gay man to represent House District 120!

Biography

Jordan Brown is a 36-year-old public school special education teacher and former nonprofit professional. From rural Victoria to Dallas, Austin, and now San Antonio, Jordan has seen firsthand how decisions made by state leaders impact classrooms, families, and entire communities. Jordan is running for the Texas House of Representatives in District 120 because the systems in Texas are failing too many people by design. While everyday Texans struggle with rising property taxes, aging infrastructure, and underfunded schools, those in power continue to prioritize issues that do little to make life better for ordinary Texans. Often, political decisions are disconnected from the realities facing working families and local communities. As an educator, Jordan sees the consequences of these choices every day in overcrowded classrooms, stretched resources, and families doing everything they can to get by. These challenges show up in students’ learning environments, in parents’ stress, and in the long-term outcomes for entire neighborhoods. Jordan’s campaign is focused on putting students, families, and working-class communities first by fighting for real solutions, not political distractions. He believes the government should focus on strengthening public schools, investing in communities, and making life more affordable and stable for Texans.
