Biography

Joshua is a lifelong Illinoisan and proud alumnus of Heartland Community College and Illinois State University. Joshua’s commitment to his community is reflected in his dual roles in public office and constituent service.

Since 2021, Joshua has served as an elected Trustee for Heartland Community College, collaborating to oversee balanced budgets and ensuring fiscal responsibility. Joshua is Vice Chair of the McLean County Democratic Party, serving on its Executive Board for five years. He currently serves as the Director of Constituent Outreach for Illinois State Senator Dave Koehler, where he navigates state systems to solve real-world challenges for residents across the Bloomington-Normal region. Joshua is Vice Chair of the McLean County Democratic Party, serving on its Executive Board for five years.

Joshua’s expertise in election administration stems from his impactful work with Illinois State University’s Center for Civic Engagement. In that role, he led nonpartisan voter turnout initiatives, built broad campus coalitions, and worked directly with the County Clerk’s office to secure and expand voting access.

With a strong foundation in budgetary oversight, civic engagement, and collaborative leadership, Joshua is running for McLean County Clerk to modernize operations and ensure equitable opportunities for all residents.
