Biography
For Hempfield School Board candidate, Kait Linton, the well-being of students, staff, and the community isn’t just a talking point — it’s personal. Kait learned firsthand about the challenges and rewards of creating a positive learning environment by observing their parents’ lifelong dedication to education as teachers. When discriminatory policies impacting LGBTQ+ students surfaced in 2021, Kait became a vocal advocate. They attended school board meetings and raised awareness through their work as Managing Editor for Public Education Advocates of Lancaster County (PEAL)’s publication. Kait is running for school board to champion the needs of all students, empower Hempfield’s dedicated staff, and build stronger connections between the school and the broader community.
