Biography
Ken Cheuvront has been an openly gay leader in Arizona since 1994. He grew up in Phoenix and went to College in Southern California. He spent his junior year studying in France and a year of graduate work in the Ivory Coast. He has an MBA from Thunderbird. After spending his late 20s in NYC, he returned to Phoenix to work for his family’s construction company and run for office. He was elected to the Arizona House and Senate as the first openly gay elected official in Arizona for 16 years, and was the Democrat Leader of the House. He left politics in 2010 to run his Construction company and restaurant. In 2018, he was elected to the Encanto Justice Court and was re-elected in 2022. He lives with his partner and two doodles.
