Jason will be the first out gay state legislator from Montgomery County!
Biography
Jason is an environmental attorney, civil rights advocate, and community organizer with over 15 years of senior legislative advocacy experience across Pennsylvania. As the leader of a statewide civil rights organization, Jason has championed meaningful public policies. Jason has led numerous statewide campaigns, drafted bills and amendments, testified before legislative committees, and directly advised elected officials on civil rights, education, and healthcare policy. As an organizer, the nondiscrimination protections Jason advanced now safeguard millions of Pennsylvanians. As an attorney, Jason has served as counsel to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, enforcing critical laws — with a focus on the Waterways and Wetlands, Air Quality, and Environmental Justice programs. A fourth-generation Lower Merion resident, Jason is running to become the next Representative for the 148th House District — serving most of Lower Merion Township, all of Whitemarsh Township, and all of Narberth Borough. He is dedicated to fighting for the priorities of the 148th House District, including lowering costs of healthcare and utilities; environmental protection; and infrastructure development. Locally, Jason is entering his fifth year on the Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd board and is an active volunteer with the Democratic Committee of Lower Merion and Narberth.
