Lekeshia Hicks

County Commissioner , District 9

Lekeshia Will Be a Commissioner Who Shows Up for Every Family!

Biography

Lekeshia “Keshia” Hicks is a retired U.S. Army Major, doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership, and small business owner running to represent District 9 on the Montgomery County Commission in Clarksville, Tennessee. Having been married to her wife, Dr. Cassandra Hicks, for 5 years and the mother of 5 and grandmother to 3, Keshia is deeply rooted in the community she is fighting to serve because what happens in Montgomery County affects her family, too.

After more than two decades of military service, Keshia retired in Clarksville, home to Fort Campbell and 3 one of Tennessee’s fastest-growing counties, to build something lasting. She is running on a platform of fiscal accountability and government transparency, infrastructure and flood preparedness, juvenile justice reform, expanded healthcare access, and meaningful public participation in local government.

Keshia believes that every resident deserves a commissioner who shows up at budget hearings, community forums, and neighborhood meetings before asking for a vote. Her campaign tagline says it all: Your Neighbor, Your Commissioner.
