Biography

Mallory Craig-Karim is a candidate for Somerville Borough Council, a mom, an attorney, and a longtime advocate for public service and LGBTQ+ equality. She and her wife are raising their young daughter in Somerville, and she is running because she believes local government has a direct hand in shaping the safety, character, and future of the communities our families call home. Professionally, Mallory serves on the legal team of a global healthcare organization. She previously served as General Counsel of a technology company and practiced at leading law firms, including Baker McKenzie and Skadden. Earlier in her career, she trained in public sector roles, including the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the Office of the Chief Prosecutor of Military Commissions. Mallory has long been active in civic and political life. In Somerville, she volunteers with local families and community groups, and she is committed to making sure LGBTQ+ residents are fully seen, respected, and represented in local government.
