Biography
Matt McCoy is a father to Jack. He is currently serving his second term as a Polk County Supervisor. He previously served in the Iowa House for four years and the Iowa Senate for 24 years. He was Iowa’s first openly gay legislator. He’s been an outspoken for civil and human rights and has advocated for the marriage equality and enumerated protections under the Iowa Civil Rights Act.
