Biography
Matthew Adams is an educator, community organizer, and lifelong resident of the Central Valley running to represent District 9 in the California State Assembly. He has dedicated his career to uplifting others, whether teaching middle and high school students math, science, and government or advocating for civil rights as a Regional Field Organizer for Equality California. A proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Matthew also served as a volunteer coordinator for Habitat for Humanity, helping local families achieve the stability of a home.
Born in Lodi and a graduate of Lodi High and Sacramento State, Matthew lives in Woodbridge to fight for the community that raised him. He strongly believes that California thrives when our government prioritizes people over corporate interests. His vision for District 9 includes a fully-funded public school system, truly affordable housing with strong tenant protections, and a transparent democracy where every voice is heard, not just those of the highest bidders.
