Biography
Growing up as a gay man in the small town of Westerly, Rhode Island, I learned early on the profound importance of fostering inclusive and welcoming communities. This lived experience fuels my deep appreciation for strong community bonds and my commitment to ensuring all residents feel a sense of belonging.
At 25, I’ve actively pursued opportunities to serve. In my hometown, I served on the economic development commission, where I championed initiatives to modernize our infrastructure, including advocating for fiber optic internet deployment, and encouraged policies that spurred inclusive growth. My dedication to public service also led me to gain experience at the State Department and to run for State Representative in Rhode Island.
Since making Gaithersburg, Maryland, my home in 2022, I’ve been drawn to its vibrant community life. I am eager to give back to this city that has offered me such a welcoming environment to grow. With my background in community development, economic initiatives, and public service, combined with my perspective as an openly gay man dedicated to building inclusive spaces, I am ready to contribute significantly to Gaithersburg’s future and represent the diverse voices within it.
