Biography
Melanie a proud Nevadan with a deep commitment to public service. Since 2018, she has served in the Nevada State Senate where she is the chief majority whip and longest serving female chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Melanie is a member of the LGBTQ community and chair of the LGBTQ Legislative caucus. She has a strong legislative record as a champion for women’s health, investments in public education, and advocating for equality. In addition to her role in the Senate, Melanie is a mom and practicing attorney.
