Biography

Lauren Myers, a third-generation resident of Council Bluffs and an alum of its public schools, is seeking re-election to the Council Bluffs Community School District Board of Education. With deep connections to the district and family ties to current staff, she is dedicated to continuing her service to the schools that shaped her education. Lauren has over a decade of experience in victim services and currently works in behavioral health, giving her a strong understanding of student mental health and family support needs. As a small business owner, she adds expertise in budgeting, operations, and planning. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and two master’s degrees in Integrative Health and Wellness and Recreation Therapy. An advocate for lifelong learning, Lauren actively contributes to the Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB). She has served twice as a delegate to the IASB Delegate Assembly and is in her second year on the IASB Legal Service Fund Committee. Her work has earned her both the IASB Individual and Team Achievement Awards. Lauren is committed to helping all students succeed by removing barriers and supporting inclusive programs. As she seeks re-election, she remains focused on strengthening school-family connections and deepening community engagement.
