Biography
Nicholas D. Palmer is running to be the first openly LGBTQ+ justice on the Fifth District Court of Appeals of Texas at Dallas. Nicholas is a husband and father to three children, adopted from foster care. He has spent his entire 16-year legal career in public service. After clerking for a federal judge, Nicholas worked for Legal Aid of Northwest Texas. There, he advised and represented individuals who could not afford legal representation. For approximately 14 years, Nicholas has worked as an Assistant City Attorney for the Dallas City Attorney’s Office, where he currently serves as the chief appellate attorney for the ninth-largest city in the U.S.
