Biography
Hey neighbors, my name is Demi Palecek. I’m an activist, the President of the 46th Ward Democrats, an alumna of the Illinois Women’s Institute for Leadership, a member of the Army National Guard, and a leader with Illinois Veterans for Change. I’m also a proud working-class queer Hispanic woman, and I’m running to be your Democratic Candidate for State Representative in the 13th District! We should have public transportation that is safe, reliable, and fully funded. Safe communities, through collaboration between mental health response teams and police, while investing in alternative responses and restorative justice programs. We must correct our housing crisis; housing is a human right, and I will fight for housing that is accessible and actually affordable to the district.
