Jamie Palumbo

Kentucky House of Representatives, District 76

Jamie will be the first out gay man elected to the state legislature in Kentucky!


Jamie was born in Lexington, KY, and grew up in the 76th House District. He is a member of Calvary Baptist Church and has been since birth. Jamie is a Bryan Station graduate, where he re-started the Young Democrats Club and was active in student government, theater, and in multiple clubs centered around community service/engagement. Jamie graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in political science. He is a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity and served as Corresponding Secretary, Philanthropy Chair and IGPA Chair.

Jamie is very close with his family, which includes his parents, State Rep Ruth Ann, John II; brothers Joe (Jennifer), Stephen (Jamie), and Johnny (deceased); nieces and nephews Anna, John IV, Sanina, Baker, Juliette, and Jorjanna. He has two dogs (which are more like children to him) that he adopted from the Lexington Humane Society, Kennedy and Madison.
