Biography
Randy Prazen is a lifelong Utahn and 5 year resident of Cottonwood Heights who is running for City Council to bring grounded, compassionate, and community-focused leadership to District 3. With deep roots in the state and firsthand experience in both public-facing and support-oriented roles, Randy is ready to serve.
Randy has spent much of his career in customer service management, real estate, and working directly with individuals with disabilities — giving him a broad, empathetic understanding of the diverse needs within our community. His approach is shaped by both professional and personal experiences, guided by a belief in inclusion, transparency, and thoughtful progress.
Randy began his college journey at Utah State University in Logan and is currently completing his degree in Social Work at the University of Utah. His academic focus reflects his lifelong commitment to helping others and advocating for underserved populations.
He believes city leaders should be active listeners, accessible to the people they represent, and responsive to the everyday realities of residents. Randy attends city meetings, connects with neighbors across District 3, and is running not as a career politician, but as someone who believes public service starts with showing up.
