Biography
Tyler Quick is an educator and young homeowner in Adams County, Colorado, where he has lived most of his life. He’s running for elected office for the first time because he is very concerned about growing wealth inequality and rapidly increasing climate change. As a young homeowner on a middle-class salary, Tyler understands who is being left behind and how. Throughout his academic and professional life, Tyler has pursued tangible progress and social justice through coalitional politics. As a young activist in the CU Student Government, he fought for and won lower tuition and fees. As a consultant, he advised winning campaigns in rural America. As a Ph.D. student, he unionized his workplace while working three jobs. Tyler doesn’t forget where he comes from, and he’s committed to fighting for the same middle-class values he grew up with. He knows that we can grow our economy by developing technologies that protect our environment. He knows that we can find patriotism in our diversity. And he’s ready to be the first gay man to represent his community on the Adams County Board of County Commissioners.
