Biography
Currently, the first openly gay person elected to the Utah State Board of Education, Sarah is a Salt Lake native dedicated to advocacy, supporting public education, creating policies that support our incredible educators, and fighting for resources to help Utah students achieve goals. She holds a master’s in political science and has nearly two decades of experience in higher education, including teaching. She also serves on several community boards, including United Way of Salt Lake and the Salt Lake Library Board. Raised in a family of educators, Sarah will keep fighting for equity and positive change on the State School Board.
