Brett Reichert

Council Member , At-large

Biography

Brett Reichert is a teacher, varsity coach, and church pianist. The last of 5 kids, Brett was raised by Depression-era parents, who instilled in him grit, service, and the value of getting things done. With degrees from Mercer, Florida State, and over two decades as a full-time Educator, he’s built a life around learning, listening, and leading from the heart. Since 2022, Brett has served as Council Member at Large for the City of Hapeville, GA. He’s shown up and done the work, including earning over 50 training hours through the Georgia Municipal Association and UGA’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government. He also served on GMA’s Board of Directors from 2022-2024 as District 3 President. During his time on council, he gained tremendous knowledge about his city, its residents, operations, services, costs and needs. He focused on facts, fairness, and what’s best for residents. His city is growing, changing, and facing many of the same challenges as larger cities across Georgia and the U.S. Hapeville needs thoughtful leadership grounded in trust, experience, and values – not noise – to navigate the present and prepare for the future. We are all in this together, and that’s why I’m running again. Thank you.
