Biography
Richard Perque is an attorney, mediator, and former Judge Pro Tempore of the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans with over 19 years of legal experience. Richard attended Loyola University New Orleans as an undergraduate and the School of Law in 2006. He was appointed twice by the Louisiana Supreme Court to serve as Judge Pro Tempore for Civil District Court Divisions “B” and “G” in 2022 and 2023, respectively, where he presided over both jury and bench trials. He also served as a Commissioner on the Louisiana Commission on Human Rights from 2016 to 2022 and was a member of the New Orleans Human Relations Commission from 2014 to 2016. Richard is licensed to practice law in Louisiana, Texas, and Massachusetts, and is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. Recognized for his legal excellence, he has been named a Super Lawyer and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
