Wichita Senator Fighting for Equal Rights and Working Families!
Biography
Silas Miller is a Marine Corps veteran, a product of Wichita Public Schools, and the Kansas State Senator for District 25 in Wichita. After serving his country, Silas came home to Wichita and built a life working with his hands. Like most families in his district, he has never had the luxury of just one job. Voters in Wichita first elected him to the Kansas House in 2022 and sent him back unopposed in 2024. There he served on the Education, Elections, and Insurance committees and as Ranking Minority Member of Federal and State Affairs. In December 2025, he was appointed to the Senate seat left open by retiring Sen. Mary Ware, and on November 3, 2026, he is on the ballot to keep it. Silas believes Kansas works best when it works for everybody – lower costs for working families, fully funded public schools for every kid, and healthcare that doesn’t wreck a family budget.
