Biography
Thad Flowers is a lifelong Atlantan, experienced professional, and committed community leader running for Atlanta City Council District 7. His deep connection to the community fuels his passion for service and practical solutions. Thad brings a unique blend of public and private sector experience. He served as District Chief of Staff for the Atlanta City Council, where he oversaw daily operations, advanced legislative initiatives, and strengthened constituent services. Before that, he built a 15-year career in the automotive industry, rising to General Sales Manager and excelling in team leadership, strategic planning, and operational efficiency. Currently, Thad is a Senior Public Affairs Specialist focused on major transportation and infrastructure projects across the region. His role managing outreach and government relations gives him firsthand insight into the city’s mobility and growth challenges. Thad holds a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee State University and an Executive MBA from Georgia Tech. He remains active in civic life through the New Leaders Council and his lifelong membership in local churches. His priorities include enhancing infrastructure, improving public safety, expanding greenspaces, and ensuring fiscal responsibility—delivering real results for the people of District 7.
