Biography
Born and raised in Pueblo County, Tommy is a proud product of Pueblo’s public schools, graduating from Rye High School before earning a degree from Colorado State University Pueblo. In 2020, he and his father became co-owners of New Frontier Engineering, a local firm rooted in Pueblo values and innovation. He currently serves as Office Administrator to Pueblo County Commissioner Miles Lucero, supporting constituent services and local initiatives. Tommy’s commitment to community runs deep. He has taught youth through the El Pueblo History Museum’s Hands-on History program and served as Chair of the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center Board. Today, he serves on the boards of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County, the Southern Colorado Equality Alliance, and the D60 Education Foundation, advocating for inclusive, equitable policies in education and beyond. His leadership has been recognized with several honors, including the Southern Colorado Equality Alliance’s Person of the Year, CSU Pueblo’s Distinguished Young Alumni Award, and the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Pueblo’s 40 Under 40 Emerging Leader Award. For Tommy, Pueblo’s greatest strength is its people—and he’s committed to serving them with integrity, equity, and a deep respect for the city’s history and future.
