I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for the position of Alderman for Hermann’s Ward 1 and am asking for your support and your vote. I believe that Hermann is an amazing community which we can make stronger and more vibrant for everyone. I have always worked to create a sensible balance so that no one feels left behind or held back by progress. During my years living here, I have been focused on ways to make things better for our families. As the chairman of the Tourism Commission, I worked to ensure residents benefitted from the tourism industry which our town is a part of. As the Treasurer of the Hermann Arts Council, I worked to increase the exposure to the arts for our community including organizing the first two years of the Hermann Plein Aire Arts Festival. As part of the Maifest Committee, I worked to include activities that our families can enjoy together. And as a member of the board and now Vice President of the Gasconade Historical Society, I enjoy preserving the historical heritage of our community which I feel is interesting and vital. As a business owner in Hermann, it is important to me to provide for both the residents and the visitors because it takes both to succeed. Working together, we can build upon what has made our town special to so many of us. I hope to see and speak to many of you over the next several months.
