Biography

Wes Hodge is a lifelong Central Florida advocate, community leader, and public servant running for Orange
County Commission to build a community that works for everyone. A resident of Orange County for over
40 years, Wes understands the challenges facing working families, from rising housing costs and traffic
congestion to the need for stronger investments in neighborhoods.
Wes has spent his career serving the people of Orange County, including as Chief of Staff to three County
Commissioners, where he worked on issues including affordable housing, transportation, economic
development, and constituent services. He also served six years as Chair of the Orange County
Democratic Party, building coalitions with community organizations, labor leaders, elected officials, and
advocates across Central Florida.
A strong advocate for working families, Wes has fought for higher wages, tenant protections,
environmental preservation, voting rights, LGBTQIA+ equality, and immigrant communities. He has worked
with neighborhood groups, labor, and community partners to turn local concerns into action.
Wes believes government should be a partner for residents by creating housing, improving transportation,
protecting our environment, and ensuring that economic growth benefits everyone. With his experience in
county government and commitment to community service, Wes is ready to deliver for Orange County.
