Washington, DC – Today LGBTQ Victory Fund announced Jason Mida, President & CEO of Mida Associates LLC, will join the Board of Directors of the organization. Mida is the former Vice President of Development for Victory Fund – where he raised millions of dollars for LGBTQ candidates during his six years with the organization. He will begin his term on June 27.
“The board of directors is among Victory Fund’s most prized assets – a group of leaders who work tirelessly to ensure we have the resources and framework to successfully elect the growing number of LGBTQ people who are running for office,” said Mayor Annise Parker, President & CEO of Victory Fund. “Jason proved his commitment to building LGBTQ political power during his six years at Victory Fund – when he played a leading role in the organization’s efforts to elect me Mayor of Houston – and he continued that support well after he left. We are thrilled he is formally returning to the Victory Fund family and know he will be an important part of our efforts in 2020 and beyond.”
Mida Associates LLC is a Washington, DC based consulting firm founded in 2011 to strengthen non-profit and advocacy organizations across the country. It is a certified LGBTQ owned enterprise through the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce and works on issues ranging from disability rights to supporting military and veteran caregivers to standing with immigrant families facing deportation to preventing gun violence to advocating for transgender service members. Prior to founding Mida Associates, Jason served as Vice President of Development at LGBTQ Victory Fund. He is a proud second-generation Asian American and resides on Capitol Hill with his husband, Drew Hammill.
