Washington, DC – Today LGBTQ Victory Fund – the only national organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ leaders to public office – endorsed 20 more LGBTQ candidates for the 2021 and 2022 election cycles. With the latest slate, Victory Fund has endorsed 115 candidates for the 2021 cycle and 34 for the 2022 cycle.
Mayor Annise Parker, President & CEO of LGBTQ Victory Fund, released the following statement about the new endorsements:
“While much attention is paid to news out of Washington, it is state and local government – including legislatures and the courts – that most affect the daily lives of residents. The LGBTQ candidates we endorse today will ensure LGBTQ people are consistently a consideration and their visibility and openness will change hearts and minds in their communities. We have groundbreaking candidates running across the country this year and next and together we can help them cross the finish line.”
