Washington, DC – Today LGBTQ+ Victory Fund, the only national organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ+ leaders to public office, endorsed 28 more out LGBTQ candidates running in 2023. Victory Fund has now endorsed 84 candidates running in the 2023 cycle.
Mayor Annise Parker, President & CEO of LGBTQ+ Victory Fund, released the following statement:
“In 2023, we have the opportunity to make meaningful inroads across the country, from Alaska to Mississippi. So many LGBTQ+ rights – from which books we are allowed to read to our access to lifesaving health care – are fought for and won at the state and local level. We cannot afford to take a break when bigots are wasting no time in doubling down in their efforts to silence and erase our community. For the LGBTQ+ community, there is no such thing as an ‘off year’ and we cannot afford to sit on the sidelines.”
