Eric Sorensen
U.S. House of Representatives
Eric Sorensen came out on top in his six-way competitive Democratic primary for Illinois’ 17th Congressional District. He will face anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ Republican Esther Joy King this November in a D+3 toss-up rated race. Eric will be the first out LGBTQ person elected to the U.S. Congress from Illinois!
Jared Polis
Governor of Colorado
Jared Polis shattered a lavendar ceiling when he became the out gay man elected governor in the United States. During his time in office, he’s passed pro-equality legislation and led the state’s COVID-19 response, to great applause. Now, he’ll face homophobe and anti-choice candidate Heidi Ganahl.
