Christian Ulvert is the founder and president of EDGE Communications.
Christian has served on and managed several successful campaigns across the state of Florida, ranging from municipal, state legislative, state’s attorney, issue advocacy and statewide campaigns.
Prior to his launch as a political and media consultant, Christian served the Florida House of Representatives Democratic Caucus as communications director and policy advisor to House Democratic Leader Dan Gelber during his two-year leadership term. His knowledge of strategic communications, public opinion and message development allowed elected officials to effectively deliver their message to statewide media outlets and drive public opinion. His strong verbal communications skills have led Christian to serve as bilingual spokesman of every campaign he has joined.
Christian’s diverse professional background ranges from crisis communications, legislative communications, grass-tops management and outreach, Hispanic public affairs, media buying, campaign management and strategic communications. He is described by top Florida Democrats to be “hardworking, loyal and innovative,” “a very effective advocate,” “extremely ethical and a rare political professional who knows how to get things done in Florida.”
During the 2020 election cycle, Christian was tapped to serve as a senior advisor in Florida to President Joe Biden’s successful presidential campaign. That same year Christian also served as the lead strategist and senior advisor for Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava’s historic win and resounding re-election in 2024. Christian has led and advised over dozens of successful campaigns that include the re-election of Miami-Dade County State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle, the historic election of Palm Beach County State Attorney Alexcia Cox, County Commissioners Eileen Higgin, Micky Steinberg, Danielle Cohen Higgins, Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber and School Board member Luisa Santos.
A seasoned public affairs executive, Christian is also known as the get it done advisor on major community projects. The Miami Herald wrote, “he’s sought out by companies eager to win deals…” His work trusted work ethic across Florida and communities in the Southeast part of the nation is why the Miami Herald wrote, “no private-sector player has the kind of extensive relationship Ulvert enjoys.”
Christian is also deeply committed to his community and serves on a number of local, state and national boards. Most recently, Christian served as Chairman and Finance Chair of the Miami Shores public charter school, Doctors Charter, and proudly lends his time and talent to the United Way Miami Board of Directors, the Underline Miami Board, and Carrie Meek Foundation Board. A proud alum of Florida State University, Christian is active with the FSU Alumni Association, and on the Board of the Service Scholar Alumni Council and the FSU Student Affairs Development Council. Nationally, Christian was named to the Board of Directors of the Victory Fund and tapped to serve on Latino Victory’s National Finance Council.
Born in Miami with family roots from Nicaragua, Christian graduated from the Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master’s in public administration and Policy. Today, Christian lives with his husband in Miami Shores with their two pups, Rothko and Monet.
