Ken Bohan was founder / CEO / Chairman of The Liberty Group, which opened in 1977 and provided full-service executive search and temporary staffing to firms nationwide through 26 offices. From Fortune 500 companies to small independent businesses, the companies of the Liberty Group specialized in all aspects of commercial real estate, through Liberty Executive Search and Liberty Temporary Staffing, while Liberty Screening Services offered pre-employment screening services and drug testing to a national client base.
Ken currently serves on the 4th Wall Theater board as President, the Bering Omega Asset Board as Treasurer and the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund as Treasurer, in addition to service on the Houston Apartment Association and DePelchin Children’s Center boards. Previous board service includes: City of Houston Planning Commission, National Association of Personnel Services, Texas Association of Personnel Consultants, Houston Area Association of Personnel Consultants, Bering Omega Community Services and Stages Theater.
Ken has received recognition and has been honored to receive The Harmony of the Heart Award from Avenue 360 Health and Wellness, Harold B. Nelson Memorial Award from the National Association of Personnel Services, Norvel Locke Award from the Texas Association of Personnel Consultants, and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Houston Apartment Association.
Ken moved from Oklahoma City to Houston, having graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma. He has both the CPC and CTS designations from the National Association of Personnel Services. In retirement, his mission is to make a difference through his philanthropy and board service, coupled with a commitment to travel.
