Amazing news from Colorado: David Ortiz has officially won his race, becoming the first bisexual candidate elected to the Colorado state legislature! An advocate for his fellow disabled veterans, he’ll also be the first wheelchair user elected to the legislature.
David will join a growing number of openly LGBTQ elected officials in Colorado’s state legislature, including state Representatives Brianna Titone, who faced down a wave of horrific transphobic attacks. Our LGBTQ elected officials were instrumental in rolling back hate-based legislation and ensuring LGBTQ people have a strong voice in government. We’re thrilled David will be joining their ranks!
