Washington, DC – DaVita Kidney Care has pledged $100,000 to support LGBTQ Victory Fund, the only national organization dedicated to electing more LGBTQ people to public office. DaVita, which provides kidney care to more than 200,000 individuals with kidney failure in the U.S., will be a presenting sponsor for Victory Fund’s 30th Anniversary Celebration event on May 2. The generous contribution comes as more LGBTQ people are running for office than ever before and Victory Fund is working to expand its services to support their efforts.
“We are so grateful DaVita is supporting Victory Fund’s work to increase the number of LGBTQ elected officials and ensure our government reflects the diversity of America,” said former Houston Mayor Annise Parker, President & CEO of LGBTQ Victory Fund. “Thanks to their generous contribution, we can provide more resources and support to LGBTQ candidates from all political parties so together they can move us closer to equality. We appreciate their commitment to our community.”
Victory Fund’s 30th Anniversary Celebration will be held virtually on May 2 and will feature high-profile LGBTQ elected officials and candidates from the last three decades. Thanks to DaVita’s contribution as presenting sponsor, Victory Fund can offer complimentary tickets to those unable to purchase one. Individuals can register for the event at victoryfund.org/30years.
